EMPLOYER CHECKLIST
As states open up from stay-at-home orders, you may be thinking about bringing back a nanny or hiring for the first time.
Use the Nanny Employer Checklist as guidance that can enable you to get the support you need with childcare from a caring and professional worker while helping to ensure safety for all of us.
01 COMMUNICATION

02 COLLECTIVE SAFETY

Find and facilitate safest transportation option

Regular all household temperature checks

Commit to social distancing and masks in public

Provide hand sanitizer, mask, gloves and disinfectant
03 MAKE A FAIR AGREEMENT

Create or amend a written work agreement

Commit to fair pay and paid time off

Adjust compensation to account for extra work, hours and/or risk level
04 PLAN FOR THE WORST CASE SCENARIO

Provide resources on local access to health care, testing, and other emergency resources

Suspend work with pay if anyone is exposed to, experiences symptoms or tests positive for COVID-19
05 STAY INFORMED

Keep up to date on CDC guidelines
